10 Weeks to Strength and Well Being
Star Physical Therapy is offering a one on one strength and conditioning program led by Christopher Farris, certified senior strength trainer and exercise physiologist. This program is a
2 times per week for 10 weeks strengthening program consisting of upper and lower body weight lifting and trunk (core) strengthening as well as either supervised or independent aerobic conditioning.
Many people do not understand how to go about getting the exercise they need. They may not want to “go to the gym” because they do not know how to use the machines or are intimidated by the atmosphere.
Other people have parts of their body that hurt with exercise or do not know how to proceed without fear of injuring themselves. Others just need to form a habit and experience how good it makes one feel to gain strength, endurance, flexibility and confidence in their body.
Some people want to be monitored to ensure safety and proper technique. If this sounds like you, then this may be a program that you may want to consider trying.
After a patient is finished with formal physical therapy, this is an excellent transition to ensure continued gains from exercise and to transition to your home or gym exercise program.
